My First blog earned a C but i believe that is because I was not focused on the assignment. I also believe I got this grade because I missed lab days during the class periods. I was happy with grade I received even though I was missing bits and pieces to my blogs. One way I can improve on this assignment is by it more seriously and not trying to cram all my blogs together on the last day. I think I understood the blogs there and the prompts very well but just lacked content wise in each blog. My best blog I think was the one that explained myself as an English student. My worst blog was probably the one where you select a song because the book i was reading Hold me Closer, Necromancer was a book that was somewhat dark but had a light and playful side made it a hard book to choose music for. In summary I did a decent job on my blog.
The book I chose to read this quarter is The Dreamkeeper which is a collection of poems by Langston Hughes. I chose this book because I thought it was an easy book to have and relate to. I was wrong this book consists of many poems some that are easy to relate some that I am complety clueless on being able to explain them. This book I chose it because it has a wonderful selection of poems that just make think about things.
My goals for blogging are just staying on focused on blogging. I can do this by taking advantage of all the days we have in the labs. Not putting off the work until the last days. Actually reading my book when I spare time. And just taking the assignments more seriously.
I completely agree with your opinion on why you got the grade you did. I too did the same thing you did and had around the same grade. I agree that one way to improve the way we blog is to not cram all the blogs into the day before they are all due. I also missed some blog days which screwed me up a bit. I also agree that all the blog prompts were easy to understand. I think that overall the reason we got the grades that we did were because we slacked off and procrastinated a bit when it came to blogging.
ReplyDeleteI understand why you received the grade that you were given. I do agree that it is very difficult for a person to attempt to blogging assignments when they miss so many days at school. Cramming multiple assignments at one time is not recommended, since it puts stress upon yourself. Yes procrastination is something that most people, including me have to improve on if we want to get the grade we desire. Though I have one tip that I can give you that will help you out with this blog post. You should describe what book that you plan on reading so we can get an idea on what to expect from you. The "bits and pieces" that you discussed about that you did not have in previous blog posts is being displayed in this post as well. So I if you do want to get that "A" on your blog, then you have to check your posts to see if you were missing any important information that was supposed to be in your blog. Anyway, I can't wait to see your improvements in your second quarter blog. Happy blogging!
