TThe upside of those "classic" novels
Honestly the only reason I ever look forward to reading a classic novel is that fact that i don't have to legit read it from cover to cover. SparkNotes is reading without really reading thats how I think is the
best way to describe it in my own words. I think SparkNotes is a good
idea for reading incredibly long novels and you can not follow what is
happening in the book. But you should only sparknote a few chapters if
you are behind on reading. Sparknotes should be used used along with the
reading to help you better understand the text you are reading.
Sparknotes only focus on the main points in the story not the novel as a
whole.
SparkNotes take away from the experience of reading the book for yourselves. Sparknoting is good in the way it can help you focus on the main points of a chapter. But is also bad because of that same reason because that is the only thing you get from the spark notes. Sparknotes take away from the actual reading because you just have the climax of the the chapter and very little or nothing leading you up to that point.

THE WEEKND THAT OVO AND THAT XO
For this blog post like all of the other ones. I added some music that represents the general feel of a book to me, usually when I add music to a blog I choose music from my personal itunes library songs where I interpret the theme ,mood ,and the overall feel of the song most of these songs are either by artists that people are either unaware of or have never been heard of by people who only listen to mainstream artist. The artist I am going to mention in this blog is The Weeknd he is an up and coming artist from Canada who as gained big time fame when he and Drake collaborated for OVOXO. The song that i'm chosing to add is Heaven or Las Vegas off of the mixtape Thursday. http://soundcloud.com/theweekndxo/the-weeknd-heaven-or-las-vegas
[Verse 1]
I'm paying for all my father's sins
So I will thank him for you
I'mma thank him for you
My serotonin's got a while to go
Girl, it's gone cause of you
It's been gone cause of you
[Hook]
They say, they want heaven
They say, they want God
I say, I got heaven
Well I say, I am God
[Verse 2]
I never prayed a moment in my life
Girl I'm rewarded with you
I've been rewarded with you
So baby let me kiss your inner thigh
Let me kiss it for you
I can kiss it for you
[Hook]
They say, they want heaven
They say, they want God
I say, I have heaven
I say, I am God
[Verse 1]

Next song
The Weeknd’s closing track to his second mixtape, Thursday. Explores the hedonism so common to his songs, with dark, drug-filled undertones The Weeknd similar to the character of Cameron in the way he takes things for granted also similar to Cameron he has father issues. And in the hook I believe that is a direct connection between the book in a way that Cameron want to be the true controller of thier destiny

What is up with blogging?
My view of blogging when the year first started was a few couple sentenced post. Boy was I wrong blogging has become probably became one of my least favorite parts about my English class. I have no idea how I gained the impression that blogging would require less than a paragraph. I am in a top track English: I just think it is honestly that pre-senior senioritis. I have no idea maybe it is my lazy side that wants to take over whenever I try anything school related whether it be homework, essays,or any school related project.
Anyway to be honest I do think that blogging is a good alternative to the traditional writing papers because the blogs themselves take very little research such as just reading a book as opposed to the extra articles you are required to read when you are writing a research paper. I personally think that anyone can find a topic to write a blog about which simplifies the assignment by a large amount. And is what I think makes blogging favorable assignment.

The Even Newer Book
I decided to take time out of listening to OF Tape Volume 2 just long enough to start reading my fourth quarter blog book and download OF Tape Volume 2 off of itunes best $14.99 I spent in a while. Anyway The book i'm reading this quarter is Going Bovine by Libba Bray. This book I honestly just picked up because it had an interesting cover. I know shouldn't have done that the whole "don't judge a book by the cover thing." But that is what usually motivates me to read a book. I don't care about the fact that it is on the New York Times Best Seller list. I am the reader that would like to read the book either before it becomes popular or years after it's popular. I got a Hipster mentality avoid mainstream society at every chance possible.Anyway the book Going Bovine is about this 16 year old kid named Cameron. Cameron has a normal life average grades in school a job at a fast food restaurant, the occasional pothead. A normal life for a teenager, that is until Cameron finds out he has Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease or more commonly known as the human form of Mad Cow Disease. So Cameron has to travel across the country to find a man known simply as Dr.X, who is the only one with the cure to Cameron's disease. Along the way Cameron meets this dwarf named Gonzo who follows him on this quest. And along the way Cameron battles fire Giants, escapes a bowling happiness cult, and face a mysterious foe the Wizard of Reckoning. I wish i could say more but....

Conflicting interest
The book Please Ignore Vera Dietz contains many examples of the literary element : conflict .
Conflict is in between multiple characters but mostly between Vera and some other character . "Is it ok to hate a dead kid? Even if I loved him once? Even if he was my best friend? Is it okay to hate him for being dead? In this quote Vera has a conflict with Charlie post-humous. In my opinion conflict is the important part of a novel. Conflict adds excitement to a novel.

Some Musicial Help
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6frJ5IEA2Q&ob=av2nThe song that I chose to represent the book Please Ignore Vera Dietz is Sooner or Later by N.E.R.D.
This song has a said tone to it but an uplifting beat throught the song. This is similar to the book because the characters are showing sad emotions but do not show them on the outside. And this song actually states "its over leave it" which is opposite of what Vera does concerning Charlie.

The New Book
This quarter I am reading The book Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King. This book is about a girl named Vera Dietz who is your average High School senior with a not so average life. This is because her best friend Charlie Kahn dies mysteriously. And Vera knows it has something to do with the new crowd Charlie began hanging out with. This book consists of many flashbacks to times when Charlie was alive. That is all the information i'm willing to disclose on the book.
